Congratulations to our May Healthcare Hero Winner Dr. T'Anya Carter, PhD, CRNA. She has been a nurse for 26 years and has loved every minute of it! In November 2021, she earned her Ph.D from UAB's School of Nursing. She is also a Fellow of the NIOSH, where she supports worker health and safety.
Outside of work, she helps the homeless, organizes food drives for seniors, and unwinds with baseball, her husband Portia, their Chihuahua Cairo, and their demanding (but loveable) cat Jodi. Thanks for what you do T'Anya!
