Morning Rounds Coffee and the just keep livin Foundation (JKL) joined forces to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals at Juan Navarro Early College High School. This unique event brought healthcare workers into the classroom for a hands-on career panel, showcasing the wide array of opportunities within the medical field.

Students enrolled in the JKL after-school program had the chance to hear directly from doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and medical technicians about their careers, their journeys, and the challenges and rewards of working in healthcare. 

Building Brighter Futures Through Collaboration

The partnership between Morning Rounds Coffee and the JKL Foundation is a perfect example of how local organizations can come together to create meaningful opportunities for students. “This event is about more than just careers,” shared Dr. Todd Walker, orthopedic surgeon and founder of Morning Rounds Coffee. “It’s about showing students the impact they can have by pursuing a path in healthcare and providing them with real-world insights into what those roles look like.”

The JKL Foundation, founded by Camila and Matthew McConaughey, empowers high school students through programs that encourage active, healthy, and service-oriented lifestyles. Together with Morning Rounds Coffee, the event underscored the importance of mentorship and community support in shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
